Engineers Mate Ltd is an e-commerce business based in Dudley. We operate one of the largest on-line engineering product databases in Europe, where you can browse a wide range of Bearings, Power Transmissions, Motors, Gearboxes, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Seals, O rings, Lubricants, Adhesives, Fasteners, Couplings, Belts and Pulleys etc. Although we are a young company, we are delighted with the performance of our website, our very promising growth and with portfolio of prestigious companies we have attracted as account customers, many of whom are household names within the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
Seventeen months ago, Engineers Mate Ltd was a new company a Start-up. We had one employee, we were operating out of a domestic study and we took our very first order on the 14th January 2012. What has taken place during the intervening period has been nothing short of a whirlwind. We soon ran out of space so we moved to larger serviced offices, but by July 2012 we were on the move again this time to a unit on First Avenue on the Pensnett Estate. During the twelve months from May 2012, we have expanded rapidly increasing our turnover by a factor of 5, we have exported to 70 countries and today we have 4 part-time and 4 full-time staff, one of whom is our first apprentice.
