A quarry in Sierra Leone urgently required an electric motor to replace a diesel engine on their main crusher. They also required a motor gearbox for the main conveyor and a belt drive system for the vibratory feeder. Within a week Engineers Mate ® had supplied a 75kw Dust Proof TEC Motor, a Varvel in-Line gearbox and Belts and Pulleys from Medway® and the plant was up and running.
The project was in-line with on-going developments in the country with upgrades to their highway infrastructure.
Engineers Mate has now established several on-going working relationships in Africa and are exporting to the continent on a weekly basis.
